Course Overview
This programme of study leads to a Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, with an annual intake of 60 seats. It is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, Indian Nursing Council, Karnataka Nursing Council, and RGUHS.
The program aims to prepare graduates who can think critically, act ethically, and work collaboratively as nurse leaders in primary, acute, and long-term care settings. SLES provides state-of-the-art labs (Anatomy, Foundations, Nutrition, Pediatric, OBG, and Computer) to foster academic and practical excellence.
Clinical Postings at Vikram Hospital
Students of S.L.E.S. Institutions undergo rigorous practical training at our own Vikram Multispeciality Hospital (a 100-bed multispeciality facility in Chintamani). Under the direct supervision of experienced doctors and senior nursing officers, students rotate through General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, ICU, and Operation Theatres, getting invaluable real-world patient care experience starting from their first year.
Advanced Practical Laboratories
To complement clinical postings, our campus features state-of-the-art laboratories including the Nursing Foundation Lab, Pediatric Lab, Anatomy & Physiology Lab, Nutrition Lab, and Computer Center. These facilities are equipped with modern simulation mannequins and specialized tools, allowing students to practice and master clinical procedures in a safe, controlled environment before working with patients.

Educational Objectives & Outcomes
Our program is geared towards developing high-caliber professionals. Upon successful completion of this course, students are trained and expected to:
- Have a broad concept of the fundamental principles of quality nursing care, and demonstrate skill in providing nursing care based on physical, biological and behavioural sciences.

- Demonstrate skill in teaching and supervising nursing care both in the hospital and in community settings.

Admissions & Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
Pass in HSC / PUC / 10+2 / equivalent with minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Age must be between 17 and 35 years.
